Purchasing Assistant (Part-Time 9:00am – 2:00pm M-F)

Summary: 
Assist the Purchasing Manager with day-to-day administrative activities.
Requirements and Education: 

High School diploma or equivalent, plus two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and database software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Operate within the confines of the existing ISO program. Enter purchase order into manufacturing software package and send a copy to the supplier. Compile/generate spreadsheets. Review daily receipts for quantity discrepancies. Confer with suppliers to ensure deliveries are on time. Create and maintain electronic storage files. File all requisitions, e-mails, prints and purchase orders. Interpret necessary actions relative to reports. Confer with vendors to obtain product information such as price, availability and delivery schedule. Coordinate purchases or quotes. Approve invoices for payment. Expedite delivery of goods to users.
