TSE is pleased to introduce NEW MillaMed™ PU2055 and MillaMed™ PU2075, two new, pre-mixed polyurethane rubber compounds designed specifically for medical applications.
MillaMed™ polyurethane rubber compounds have passed USP Class VI and cytotoxicity testing. They are fully formulated and ready for molding and curing using conventional rubber processing equipment and techniques. Cured parts can be sterilized using autoclave, gamma radiation or ethylene oxide gas (ETO). They have excellent physical properties and abrasion resistance along with good radiation and gas permeability resistance. Possible applications could include seals, gaskets, and septa.
This photo shows a flat sample of MillaMed laying over a color printout of the header on this page. How's that for transparency?
MillaMed™ PU2055 (55 Shore A) and MillaMed™ PU2075 (75 Shore A) are both based on aliphatic polyether polyurethane and can be blended to achieve intermediate hardness levels. These easy-to-process compounds offer excellent strength properties, ozone resistance and water resistance. MillaMed also exhibits excellent resistance to fungal/microbial attack.
MillaMed™ millable polyurethane compounds are sold in the United States through R.D. Abbott Company headquartered in Cerritos, California.
