Bachelor’s degree; or two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to type, familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel spreadsheets, and Vantage operations software package.
*Industrial Chemical purchasing experience preferred.
*Certified Purchasing Manager Certification (CPM) a plus.
*American Production and Inventory Control Society Certified (APICS) a plus
Operate within the confines of the existing ISO program. Elevate supply chain issues such as late deliveries or risk of supply to appropriate Managers and internal stakeholders in a timely fashion. Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders verifying nomenclature, part numbers and specifications - this includes inventorial and research and development items. Escalate and de-escalate materials to meet the requirements of production while maintaining integrity in purchase order dates and quantities. Manage delivery requirements with suppliers. Resolve supply issues with vendors. Communicate delivery dates internally as needed. Assign part numbers to inventory items per defined parameters. Negotiate pricing on tail spend items. Maintain quote history. Provide assistance in reconciling receipt and invoice discrepancies. Responsible for sourcing and ordering samples for raw materials or packaging as requested for R&D and/or Product Development and communicating delivery dates.
