Clean Room Operator (1st Shift)

Summary: 
Keep Operations Manager apprised of production issues related to safety, productivity, ability to meet scheduled shipments and receipts.
Requirements and Education: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred; or one to three years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in working in a clean room environment. GMP/ISO awareness as they apply to medical/pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Safely operate plastic molding equipment. Read blueprint or job order for product specifications and determine sequence of operations. Gather raw materials, tools, fixtures, etc. needed to complete job. Observe operation of machine and verify conformance of parts to specification. Visually inspect parts throughout job run for defects. Use measurement tools; such as a ruler, measuring tape, calipers or micrometers to check dimensions. Take sample parts to Quality Control department for testing. If out of specification, make necessary adjustments to correct problem. If necessary, consult Operations Manager. Clean parts using alcohol or other cleaning solutions. Create product labeling and customer documents for customer requirements. Utilize ERP system. Pack and receive materials to support stocking them in the warehouse and generate corresponding paperwork. Make sure parts are clearly identified. Accurately enter production data into ERP system. Pack finished parts in boxes, complete Pick List and any needed Certifications according to Traveler instructions. Support housekeeping activities. Cover telephones for staff personnel when they are away from their desks. Perform other duties as required.
