Warehouse Supervisor (2nd Shift, training on 1st)

2nd shift
Summary: 
Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in receiving, shipping and handling inventory equipment, machinery, and supplies in organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Requirements and Education: 

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience; 2 year proven track record in a manufacturing environment having used an ERP system.

 Must be a non-smoker to work in the chemical production facility.
 Valid driver’s license required for forklift operation.
 Must have 1 to 2 years recent forklift experience.
 Must have Fed-Ex and UPS Worldship experience.
 Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Responsible for accurate movement of materials in receiving, shipping and material handling. Challenge the process to provide continuous improvement. Create procedures to ensure accurate processing. Maintain compliance in all facets of ISO-related areas. Responsible for making decisions that will positively affect the bottom line of the company. Set and maintain policies that will ensure inventory accuracy at 99% or higher. Confer with other department supervisors to ascertain requirements. Coordinate department’s activities with other departments. Initiate and report cost reduction programs. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Define and maintain all training requirements. Maintain time and attendance records. Develop and maintain departmental budgets. Maintain housekeeping in warehouse and extraneous inventory locations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees in the Materials control Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
